About me
Before my sabbatical, I served as the Chief Strategist to Professor Michael Porter at Harvard Business School's Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness. Prior to that, I led MIT's research on emerging technology, national security and democracy.
My background is in Aerospace Engineering; I led numerous NextGen technology design projects for NASA, The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, the US Air Force and the US Navy.
I am a Professor of Aerospace Engineering at the Illinois Institute of Technology, as well as a Board Member of the European Space Policy Institute.
I hold a Masters of Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Tech, an MBA from Harvard Business School and I am a Presidential Fellow of the Irish Academy of Engineering.
